9:00 a.m. TRAVEL to Old Walkerville stopping by 2021 Ontario - originally built for Rumrunner Harry Low during the Prohibition Era and later home of the Hon. Paul Martin Sr. En route to the Hiram Walker Distilleries, drive by row houses built by the Walker family for distillery employees.
10:00 a.m. GUIDED TOUR of THE CANADIAN CLUB BRAND CENTER. Experience the heritage of over 140 years, discover the origin of Canadian Club, and learn about their unique whisky-making process. Tour their Canadian Art Gallery, and take part in a formal whisky information session. Finish up with a sample drink at the C.C.Bistro, on the site where it all began.
11:00 a.m. GUIDED TOUR of WILLISTEAD MANOR. Visit this beautifully restored mansion, previously home of Edward Chandler Walker, son of Hiram Walker of Canadian Club fame. This stately home sits on 15 acres of parkland and features a combination of Tudor, Elizabethan and Jacobean architecture. Ask about the secret passageway!
12:00 p.m. LUNCH - Enjoy an elegant luncheon at WILLISTEAD MANOR but
save room for a treat!
1:30 p.m. GUIDED TOUR of ST. MARY’S CHURCH. Walk to the church, built in the English Perpendicular Gothic style of the early 16th century and view some of the treasures which are the envy of the Smithsonian Institute.
3:00 p.m. GUIDED TOUR of WALKER’S FINE CANDIES. Sample their sinfully decadent treats (and provide a secure future for your dentist) while you learn of the origin of chocolate and watch a demonstration of hand-dipping techniques used to create exquisite truffles.
4:15 p.m. PROCEED to hotel for check-in and time to freshen up for the evening’s activities. Savour a leisurely gourmet dinner at one of our many fine dining establishments followed by an evening of
LIVE THEATRE.
