DAY 1

4:00 p.m. PROCEED to the ODETTE SCULPTURE PARK for a leisurely stroll along the Detroit River and a perfect Kodak opportunity among a kaleidoscope of whimsical sculptures.

5:00 p.m. CHECK into hotel and freshen up before dinner.

6:30 p.m. DRIVING TOUR of OLDE SANDWICH TOWNE. View a wide variety of architectural styles including Assumption Church, Dillon Hall, the Dominion Tavern, Wm. J. McKee House, Cptn. Pierre Marentette House, the McGregor-Cowan House, James McKee House, Wigle House, the John Spiers’ General Store, Jules Robinet Winery Building, Sandwich P.O., the Duff-Baby Mansion, St. John’s Church and Mill Street Manor.

7:30 p.m. DINNER/THEATRE in historic MACKENZIE HALL. This landmark building was the former Essex County Courthouse. Designed by Albert H. Jordan and built by Alexander Mackenzie, Canada’s 2nd Prime Minister. A “mock trial” takes place in the original court. “You Be The Judge” involves audience participation. Get ready for an evening of laughs!

DAY 2

8:30 a.m. BREAKFAST followed by a DRIVING TOUR of OLD WALKERVILLE to view homes built for Hiram Walker’s workers and executives.

10:00 a.m. GUIDED TOUR of WILLISTEAD MANOR. Constructed in 1904-06 for Edward Chandler Walker, this elegant home marries three distinct styles of architecture… Elizabethan, Jacobean and Tudor. Pay particular attention to the exquisite carvings throughout the manor.

11:00 a.m. CANADIAN CLUB BRAND HERITAGE CENTER – a beautiful Italianate building. In addition to a formal whisky information session, the tour features a new Art Gallery showcasing Canadian artwork – including masterworks by the “Group of Seven”.

12:00 p.m. LUNCH at selected dining establishment.

1:30 p.m. PROCEED to TSUNAMI GLASSWORKS - Eva Milinkovic and Kriston Gene specialize in contemporary glass design, producing one-of-a-kind 
sculptural and functional blown-glass pieces, production cast vessels, 
corporate awards and gifts, and architectural sand castings. Learn the method behind their art, and perhaps purchase something beautiful!

2:45 p.m. PROCEED to the ART GALLERY OF WINDSOR to view their extensive collection of historical and contemporary Canadian art, including an excellent collection of Inuit soapstone carvings.

3:45 p.m. Time for a brief driving tour of VICTORIA AVENUE to view some of the gracious homes where elite families settled. Superb examples of architectural individuality reflecting unique styles and one aspect of life in turn-of-the-century Windsor.

RETURN to hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner. Dinner could be on own or at selected dining establishment.

DAY 3
8:30 a.m. BREAKFAST and CHECK-OUT.

10:00 a.m. DRIVING or WALKING TOUR of the FORD CITY MURALS.  Learn the history of Windsor’s “blue collar” workers as it comes alive through these vivid works of art.  

11:00 a.m. SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH. Artwork throughout this church reflects the pride and craftsmanship of the European community. Excellent example of Serbian Church architecture.

11:45pm
  If you wish, there's time for a stroll at the riverfront Coventry Gardens/Reaume Park, with its floating Peace Fountain.

12:30 p.m. LUNCH.  And now for something completely different ... as your group joins the Chef in the kitchen to help in the preparation of the meal!  Have fun and then dine on the delicious results!   Combine this with an on-site tasting from one of our local wineries.

2:30 p.m. STOP at the TUNNEL DUTY FREE SHOP on your way home.
