DAY 1
11:30 a.m. Welcome reception and light lunch before heading out in
search of some ghostly friends!
1:30 p.m. Depart for Amherstburg
Enroute, drive by Assumption College and travel along Texas Road.
2:15 p.m. Park House Museum
Originally constructed near Detroit in 1796, the Park House was floated downriver to Amherstburg after the Jay Treaty gave control of Detroit
to the Americans. Now restored to the 1850’s, not all of its past is staying there!!
3:15 p.m. Gordon House
This home was built in 1798 and has played a role in the military history of Amherstburg. Now home to Project H.M.S. Detroit, a
registered charity building the 1812 replica His Majesty’s Ship Detroit.
3:45 p.m. Fort Malden National Historic Park
Fort Malden was an 18th century outpost of the British Empire with
original earthworks, restored barracks and museum. Although ghosts don’t seem to be wandering about the site currently, there are a few
stories relating to the Fort.
5:00 p.m. Arrive at host hotel
6:00 p.m. Dinner
8:00 p.m. Duff Baby House
One of the oldest homes in the area, (1798) the house was built by Alexander Duff and later acquired by Jacques Baby. During the
War of 1812, prominent military figures were regularly hosted here. Now government offices, it’s not only those on the payroll that make
their presence known!
9:00 p.m. The Purple Theatre Company presents...
Guests will be treated to a spine-chilling presentation from “The Ghost Tour”. Grab your garlic and wear comfortable shoes.
11:00 p.m. Return to host hotel – sleep well (if you can!!)
DAY 2
8:30 a.m. Breakfast
9:30 a.m. Depart for a driving tour of Windsor, passing by Windsor

Fire Station/Turner’s, The Box Office, Ye Olde Walkerville B&B
10:00 a.m. Canadian Club Distillery Heritage Brand Center
Founded on this site in 1858, it remains the only producer of Canadian Club Whisky. Tour the executive offices,
learn about the distilling process and view magnificent paintings from Canada’s own Group of Seven. ...do you detect the presence
of a still loyal employee...?
11:15 a.m. Lunch at one of our local haunts – perhaps the Kildare House or Victoria Tavern.
1:15 p.m. Depart Windsor
2:00 p.m. Canadian Transportation Museum & Heritage Village
The Village includes 19th & 20th century buildings including log cabins,
Barber/cobbler shop, church, school, jail & general store. You may want
to pay particular attention when you are in the Waggott cabin....
3:00 p.m. Depart the Museum & Village, driving by Jack Miner’s Bird Sanctuary
3:30 p.m. No ghosts here today, just a fun stop at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens.
Colasanti’s hosts Horror Hayrides near Hallowe'en for stalwart individuals.
5:00 p.m. Early dinner at a local eatery.
