Pursuit of Peace
- War of 1812 - Duff- Baby House, Olde Sandwich Towne, Windsor The Duff-Baby House played headquarters to U.S. General Harrison during the War of 1812, and later was a significant stop on the infamous 'Underground Railroad'. Built in 1798 by Alexander Duff, the house has been restored by the Ontario Heritage Foundation. The Duff- Baby House is one of the significant stops on the Pursuit of Peace - War of 1812 tour. An original fort and barracks (National Historic Site), other museums and points on the U.S. side of the border can be included in this itinerary. |
