A key British defensive post during the War of 1812 and Rebellion of 1837, Fort Malden commemorates a period when the destiny of Canada was determined by military action. This beautiful twelve-acre riverfront site includes original defensive earthworks and a restored barrack building, with exhibits and audio-visual presentations.
Fort Malden National Historic Site is one of the significant stops on the Pursuit of Peace - War of 1812 tour. Other museums, and points on the U.S. side of the border, can be included in this itinerary, in addition to this National Historic Site.
